Pastor Angela “Angie” Smith was born in Northeast, Washington D.C. Pastor Angela attended Elementary and Middle School in the District of Columbia and graduated from Suitland Senior High School in Suitland, Maryland. Pastor Angela later further her education and received her certification from Prince George’s Community College as Paralegal in 2007. Angela currently is a Manager for the D.C. Government and has been for 29 years.

Pastor Angela was born into a Gospel singing family. Her father, mother, grandmother, and aunt were iconic singers in the Metropolitan area. Pastor Angela is the 4th child to Dr. Frances L. Brown who is the Pastor and Founder of Purity Pentecostal Deliverance Ministries located in Washington, DC and the late and great Elder Albert “Bob” Robinson. Pastor Angela was ordained and licensed as an Evangelist in 2006 and also headed the Women’s Ministry of the “Women Believing God Ministry” for eighteen years. Women’s Ministry has been Pastor Angela’s calling as she has served as the Director over several Women Conferences and currently over the “Women of Faith Gathering”, Inc.

Pastor Angela founded the group “Angela Robinson and High Praise” in 2016. High Praise traveled, spreading God’s gospel and went on to win and achieve many awards such as the “Luther Barnes Gospel Award”. The group also went on to win the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) award in 2019. Pastor Angela won the “Best Female Vocalist of the Year” in 2019.

The Lord called Pastor Angela to Pastor back in 2014, however, the Lord’s timing is everything. Pastor Angela continued serving at that time as the Minister of Music and Worship leader in her mother’s Church, Purity Pentecostal Deliverance Center. The Lord gave Pastor Angela a vision to create organization of trained Christian professionals which later became ThePowerGroup. ThePowerGroup went on to service the people God by serving the homeliness, attend to the needs of school children, sponsoring families and holding conferences.

In September of 2020, God called Pastor Angela to start the ministry of New Beginnings Kingdom Ministry in the middle of the Pandemic. Pastor Angela was installed as the Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Kingdom Ministry Temple in 2021. Pastor Angela met and married the love of her life, Pastor Michael Smith in 2021. Pastor Angela is the mother of three lovely children, who also have a heavy musical background and influence people.

Pastor Angela loves God and his people and goal is to compel Men and Women to come to Christ and be save.
